Documentary filmmaker, Concerned citizen and lover of earth
Becky Hutner is an award-winning Canadian filmmaker living in coastal England. Her first feature documentary, FASHION REIMAGINED, about the sustainability journey of designer Amy Powney, premiered at Tribeca, winning several awards and a British Independent Film Award nomination for Best Debut Director. “A must-watch not just for the fashion industry but for everyone who wears clothes,” according to The Guardian, the film is currently in cinemas in the UK and Ireland, streaming on Sky and NOW and available in 10 territories. Prior to FASHION REIMAGINED, Becky documented fashion and culture in short form for clients including the National Gallery, London Fashion Week and Visit Britain. Becky is an EMMY-nominated editor with credits including feature documentaries BEING CANADIAN (Netflix) with Seth Rogen and Rob Stewart’s REVOLUTION (National Geographic). She is focused on telling stories about environmental superheroes, with a feature doc and series currently in development. Becky holds a BFA in Screenwriting from USC Cinema School.
